Preventing and Treating Diaper Rash

Baby skin is so very sensitive, and when they develop a rash it can be concerning. Diaper rash is particularly painful for our little ones, and the best way to treat it is prevention.  Our boys have rarely had diaper rash. The first time they had it, after being released from the NICU, was 10 months old. They were born in late summer and it was not until the weather got hot and humid that they experienced it. Experience taught us that prevention was different in the summer as opposed to the winter.  We learned a lot about what I am going to share with you from when our boys were in the NICU. We also got some additional tips from our night nurse on what to do if they had it, and this combined knowledge has really helped.
